Enchanting

Basic Enchanting Table

The Basic Enchanting Table in ROTN is different from normal Vanilla enchanting. For one, it uses the Matrix enchanting from Quark Oddities. It can also only be done at night unless one is in a special dimension, such as The Nether or The Beneath.

Matrix enchanting is like a puzzle, you put Lapis into the table, put your item, and then put experience levels into the item. The result should be getting a sort of block for an enchant, which you then can place onto the grid for enchants, you can combine the same type of enchant for a greater level by putting one on top of another. The amount of experience the player needs for enchanting will increase for each enchant they have already spent experience on the item.

More information can be found in the following video

True Enchanting Table

The True Enchanting Table is a much stronger, but most experience costly version of the Basic Enchanting Table, gotten after using an Enchanting Table upgrade on a Basic Enchanting Table. When opened, it allows you to pick and choose what enchantments to put on your items and has a discount of experience based on how many bookshelves or true enchanting books you placed near it, with normal bookshelves giving a 1% discount and true enchanting books giving 2%, going up to a 60% discount (The table says 30% however it allows for 60%), or 30 True enchanting books. It also doesn’t require Lapis, unlike it’s lesser variant.

In addition to this, one can place blocks that can be used on a beacon, such as Iron blocks below it and have the table be exposed to sunlight in order to get treasure enchants, such as mending (It MUST be daytime and MUST be exposed to sunlight in order to get treasure enchantments to apply on your items).
